Unlocking your Team’s Superpower

Nancy Jain

Anuj Singla

12:00-12:45 Thursday 10th October

It is essential for people to feel comfortable speaking up in the workplace. When they are too afraid to do so, it can create a hostile atmosphere that stops innovation and collaboration, which ultimately hurts a company’s productivity and profit.

“Who is on a team matters less than how the team members interact, structure their work, and view their contributions.” (Julia Rozovsky*)

By creating a psychologically safe work environment, team members will feel encouraged to share their ideas, take risks, and learn from their mistakes. You can compare it to a sports team, where players perform better when they trust each other and feel safe to take risks. The team becomes stronger if the coach (who is the leader in this case) encourages open communication and learning from mistakes.

In this talk, we will explore practical strategies for building psychological safety in the workplace. You will learn how to create an environment where everyone feels valued and heard, using real-world examples and case studies.

By the end of the talk, you will understand the importance of psychological safety for leaders and how it can help create a successful team and organization.
