The 2025 AutomationSTAR Conference takes place at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre. Getting to the venue couldn’t be easier – Amsterdam boasts one of the best train networks in the world. Travel from the airport takes just 30 minutes, and it’s only a 3 minute walk from the venue to Europaplein station, offering quick access to the city center. How to get to AutomationSTAR
By train
The venue is just a few minutes from the “Europaplein” underground station. Use the GVB website to plan your journey. Sample time estimations include:
- Amsterdam Central Station (Metro Line 52 – 10 minutes, no transfers)
- Amsterdam Zuid Station (Metro Line 52 – 15 minutes, no transfers)
- Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station (Metro Lines 50 and 51 – 25 minutes, one transfer)
By bus
In Amsterdam, the Airport Express Bus (bus line 397) connects Schiphol Airport to the city center, including major stops like Museumplein and Amsterdam Central Station. The journey typically takes around 30 minutes.

By car
Amsterdam has a well-connected road network. To reach the city center by car from Schiphol Airport, you can take the A4 motorway and exit at De Nieuwe Meer, then follow signs towards the city center. Alternatively, you can use Ring A10 for direct access to key locations. Ample parking is available throughout the city, with many parking garages offering both standard and electric vehicle charging stations
By air
The nearest airport to Amsterdam is Schiphol Airport (AMS). To get to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, you have several transfer options:
- Public transport options, including trams and buses, are available, typically taking 25-30 minutes to reach the venue.
- The direct train service from Schiphol to Amsterdam Zuid Station takes about 8 minutes, with a quick transfer to Metro Line 52 to reach Europaplein in another 5 minutes.
- Alternatively, a taxi ride from Schiphol to the RAI takes approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic.
