The 2024 AutomationSTAR Conference takes place at the Austria Center in Vienna. Getting to the venue couldn’t be easier – Vienna is one of the best connected cities in the world by train. Travel from the airport takes just 30 minutes, and it’s only 7 minutes from the venue to Stephansplatz (subway line U1) in the heart of the old town.

Vienna is one of the most beautiful and historically rich cities in Europe. It’s bursting with spectacular Baroquan architecture, vast ornate streetscapes, and lots of stunning museums.

How to get to AutomationSTAR

By train

The venue is just a few minutes from the “Wien Kaisermühlen-VIC” U1 underground station. Use the Wiener Linien website or mobile version to plan your journey. Sample time estimations include:

• Praterstern (U1 underground line – in 11 minutes, no changes)
• Hauptbahnhof (U1 underground line – in 20 minutes, no changes)
• Westbahnhof (U3 and U1 underground lines – in 28 minutes, one change)

By bus

The buses of Vienna Airport Lines take you direct to Austria Center Vienna. The airport express bus takes around 30 minutes to reach the Austria Center Vienna

By car

Austria has an excellent road network. To get to the Austria Center by car, take the A22 motorway and turn off at the Austria Center Vienna/VIC (Vienna International Center) exit. Alternatively, take the Reichsbrücke bridge or approach from Wagramer Strasse. There is ample private on-site parking in our garage and 10 electric charging stations.

By air

The nearest airport to Vienna Center is Vienna (VIE). You can choose between the following transfer options when travelling from the airport: The non-stop City Airport Train (CAT) service will take you to the centre of Vienna in 16 minutes, and it only takes 30 minutes on the standard rail service. The airport express bus takes around 30 minutes to reach the Austria Center. You can also reach the Vienna Center by taxi in 25 minutes.
