AutomationSTAR Call for Speakers
Submit by Friday 14th February
The AutomationSTAR 2025 Call for Speakers is open!
AutomationSTAR is Europe’s largest test automation event, and this year we’re going to Amsterdam, November 10-11. This is no ordinary conference – it’s a 2-day celebration completely dedicated to test automation.
This is your chance to submit your proposal to speak on stage and share your experience, expertise, and anything else you think the test automation community should know about! We are looking for experienced speakers, first-time speakers and everything in between.
Please read through the submission details below, and start your talk proposal.
Gáspár Nagy, 2025 Programme Chair
I’m Gaspar Nagy (Hungary) and I feel honored to be the programme chair of AutomationSTAR 2025. Together with my Program Committee we are going to work hard to build an amazing program for 2025. And we would like you to be part of it!
About AutomationSTAR 2025
Automation is inseparable from software development. Even the very first pioneers of software development tried to automate repetitive, error-prone tasks. Today, automation has become part of our everyday life. We automate common tasks, quality checks to improve our testing, deployments, infrastructure setup or even actions to take based on the metrics we receive from our live systems.
This year, we have chosen Sustainable Automation as the conference theme. Sustainability in test automation covers many different topics, but all have in common the need to keep up with our automation efforts and boost the value we gain from it in the long-term. At the heart of this theme, we include:
- quality and maintainability of automation code,
- ease of use of test automation tools and libraries,
- the robustness and predictability of our automated tests,
- overall testability of the systems we develop,
Sustainability in a broader sense encompasses:
- case-studies or experience reports of automation usage,
- team collaboration that focuses on quality,
- education of the next generation of automation experts, or
- considering the environmental footprint of our automated tests.
We are interested in hearing your stories of any automation technologies, whether that be test automation (API, Web, mobile, functional, BDD, security, performance); automation methods (coded, model-based, scripted, low-code/no-code, AI-assisted); or related to automation in other areas (automating deployment tasks, continuous delivery pipelines, infrastructure setup).
We have different talk types to suit your submission:
Half-Day Tutorials are 3 hour expert masterclasses. Popular tutorials can be large. To be effective, exercises should be easy to explain, understand and perform, but you can also consider tutorials with technical hands-on tasks that the delegates perform on their own laptops.
Workshops are 90-minute sessions. We prefer sessions that engage the class and have substantial workshop or hands-on content. These sessions are intended to be educational and experiential.
Track Talks are 45-minute sessions with 30 minutes of presentation/talk followed by 15 minutes of Q&A and audience discussion.
This conference is a great opportunity for you to share your ideas and experience with a growing audience that have come from Europe and all over the world.
We expect to receive a large number of submissions, but we will be selecting sessions depending on the quality of the proposal, not the experience of the proposer. If you have a good topic to share, maybe this will be your first public speaking session!
We can’t wait to receive your submissions for the conference and meet you in person in Amsterdam. Are you ready?
